Movieversalfilm respects the rights of filmmakers, photographers, artists, studios, distributors and other creators. This page explains how material is selected and how a rights holder can raise a concern.
Movieversalfilm material
Original editorial text and original Movieversalfilm graphics are protected by copyright unless stated otherwise. Limited quotation is welcome when it is accurate, attributed to Movieversalfilm and accompanied by a link to the original page. Wider reproduction, republication or commercial reuse requires written permission.
Third-party promotional material
Film titles, logos, posters, stills, trailers and other third-party material remain the property of their respective rights holders. Movieversalfilm uses official promotional material when supplied or authorised for press use, under an applicable licence or permission, or where a limited use is lawful for criticism, review or reporting. We do not claim ownership of third-party assets.
Fair dealing and fair use
Copyright exceptions are assessed case by case. In the UK, fair dealing for criticism, review, quotation or reporting may permit limited use where the dealing is fair and sufficient acknowledgement is provided when required. US fair-use principles may apply in relevant circumstances. Movieversalfilm aims to use only what is reasonably necessary and not to substitute for the original work or its market.
AI-assisted and generated assets
Original AI-assisted illustrations are prompted and reviewed to avoid copying studio key art, logos or recognisable performer likenesses. Official artwork is identified and handled as third-party promotional material; it is not presented as an original Movieversalfilm creation.
Submit a copyright or DMCA notice
Email guyan@movieversalfilm.com with the subject Copyright notice and include:
- Your name, organisation and contact details.
- Identification of the protected work.
- The exact Movieversalfilm URL and material at issue.
- An explanation of your rights or authority to act.
- A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information supplied is accurate, plus your physical or electronic signature.
We will acknowledge a sufficiently detailed notice, review the material and take proportionate action, which may include correcting attribution, restricting access or removing content while the issue is assessed.
Counter-notice and repeat concerns
If material you supplied was removed in error, reply with the original notice reference, identify the removed material, explain why removal was mistaken and provide your contact details and signature. Movieversalfilm may restrict submissions or accounts associated with repeated infringement.
