Prime Video sums the trailer up in three lines: two drivers, one fake engagement, and a chemistry neither of them saw coming. It sets up the deal at the heart of the film. Dante’s headlines are hurting his team, and a respectable engagement is the quickest fix. Sarah has her own reason to say yes. Officially she is doing it for his reputation; secretly she sees it as her best chance of getting behind the wheel herself.

It is the fake-dating, enemies-to-lovers set-up that first won the story its fans on Wattpad, and the short trailer leans into it, teasing the moment the arrangement stops feeling like an act. The bigger question is what happens when the lie threatens to wreck everything, including whatever is really growing between them.

Drive – The Pretenders is directed by Sergej Moya from a screenplay by Chris Silber and Malina Nwabuonwor, inspired by Tamara Lush’s novel Drive, the first book in a three-part series. Bavaria Fiction produced it for Prime Video, with Karsten Günther producing. The racing scenes were shot at circuits around Brno in Czechia, with further filming in Prague, Germany and on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Koroll, best known in Germany for the Bibi & Tina films, leads the cast, while Baahmed takes his first leading film role. They are joined by Gustav Schmidt, Mišel Matičević, Lucie Heinze, Jeanette Hain and Leslie Malton.
