The Hunting Wives Season 2 Trailer: Sophie and Margo Are Back in Texas

Trailer Drop · 20 October 2026

Update: Netflix has released the official trailer for season two of The Hunting Wives, and Sophie and Margo are not on speaking terms when the Texas-set thriller returns. Brittany Snow and Malin Åkerman lead the eight-episode run, which Netflix will release in one go on Thursday 26 November 2026, in the UK as well as the US. Earlier this month Netflix renewed the show for a third season before the second had even aired.

What the Trailer Shows

The trailer is cut to Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang”, and between talk of evil-doers and “Texas justice” it promises that “someone is going down”. Netflix’s logline: at the start of season two, Sophie and Margo are on the outs, but old secrets and new foes soon force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question is whether they are the hunters or the hunted.

Back in Maple Brook, Margo’s husband Jed (Dermot Mulroney) is running for governor, and Deputy Salazar (Karen Rodriguez) is on the trail of another big case. The cast also includes Jaime Ray Newman, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Hunter Emery and Branton Box, while the new faces include John Stamos as Chase Brylan, Dale Dickey as Zelda, Cam Gigandet as Gentle John Moffitt, Kim Matula as Nadia and Alex FitzAlan as Lincoln Trout. Basketball star Angel Reese also appears.

Rebecca Cutter created the series from May Cobb’s novel and remains showrunner, with Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment producing. When we reported the season-three renewal on 8 October, UK viewing details for the new run were still unclear, because season one streams on ITVX here. Netflix UK now lists season two for 26 November.
