Trailer Drop · 19 October 2026
HBO Max UK & Ireland has released the trailer for The Audacity, a darkly comic drama set inside the Silicon Valley bubble. Billy Magnussen plays Duncan Park, a data-mining CEO determined to turn insight and influence into profit and power, in a world of jaded billionaires, psychiatrist-gurus, bio-hacked tech bros and AI labs. The eight-episode first season premieres exclusively on HBO Max in the UK and Ireland on Thursday 22 October 2026, with new episodes weekly.
What the Trailer Shows
The trailer’s tagline sums up its targets neatly: rich enough to try anything, unhinged enough to actually do it. It introduces Duncan as a founder whose confidence far outstrips his ethics, surrounded by people promising to improve everyone’s lives while working out how to monetise them. Privacy, reality and the tech industry’s urge to optimise absolutely everything, including teenagers at elite private schools, are all in its sights.
The Audacity is created, written and run by Jonathan Glatzer, whose credits include Succession, Bad Sisters and Better Call Saul, with Gina Mingacci (Killing Eve) also executive producing. Magnussen leads an ensemble that includes Sarah Goldberg as Dr JoAnne Felder, Zach Galifianakis as Carl Bardolph, Lucy Punch as Lili Park-Hoffsteader and Simon Helberg as Martin Phister, with Rob Corddry, Meaghan Rath and Paul Adelstein. Randall Park guest stars as Gabe, the qualm-free finance chief of a data-mining operation.
HBO Max has picked up the AMC series for the UK and Ireland under a deal with AMC Global Media that covers both seasons. Season 2 is already in production and will follow on the platform in 2027.
