What to Watch Tonight UK · Monday 26 October 2026
It is Halloween week, and Saturday is the big night. To get you started, BBC One has a sharp, funny A24 horror film late tonight, Disney+ and Channel 4 have a haunted house film with a brilliant Rebecca Hall that most people missed, and our Star Wars pick is one of the best hours of Andor.

Tonight’s three picks
ON TV TONIGHT: Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022) on BBC One at 11:10pm
- Channel: BBC One at 11:10pm, until 12:40am
- Runtime: 1 hour 34 minutes
- Age rating: 15
- Director: Halina Reijn, for A24
- Starring: Amandla Stenberg, Maria Bakalova, Rachel Sennott, Pete Davidson and Lee Pace
- UK availability: On BBC One tonight. Also to rent or buy on the main digital stores
A group of rich friends hole up in a remote mansion to sit out a hurricane. Someone suggests a party game called Bodies Bodies Bodies, where one player is secretly the killer. Then the power goes out and a real body turns up. What follows is a slasher, a whodunnit and a very funny satire of a group of friends who do not trust each other at all. Rachel Sennott steals every scene, and the ending is a cracker.
Perfect if you liked Scream, Ready or Not or Glass Onion. A24 has more horror on the way with the haunted house massacre Slayground.
HIDDEN GEM: The Night House (2021) on Disney+ and Channel 4
- Service: Disney+. Also free to stream on Channel 4
- Runtime: 1 hour 47 minutes
- Age rating: 15
- Director: David Bruckner
- Starring: Rebecca Hall, Sarah Goldberg and Vondie Curtis-Hall
- UK availability: Streaming now on Disney+ and Channel 4
Beth’s husband has died suddenly, and she is left alone in the lakeside house he built for them. At night she hears knocking, finds strange messages and starts to wonder whether he is still there. Then she finds plans for another house, and photos of women who look like her. Rebecca Hall is superb in a film that is as much about grief as ghosts, and it has some of the best jump scares of the decade. It slipped out while cinemas were still half empty.
Perfect if you liked The Babadook, Hereditary or The Haunting of Hill House. For a classic of the genre, see our pick of John Carpenter’s Halloween.
STAR WARS CLASSIC: Andor — “Harvest” (2025) on Disney+
- Service: Disney+
- Episode: Season 2, episode 3
- Runtime: 53 minutes
- Age rating: 12
- Created by: Tony Gilroy
- Starring: Diego Luna and Genevieve O’Reilly, with Adria Arjona and Stellan Skarsgård
- Why now: Genevieve O’Reilly, our Mon Mothma, has just joined Netflix’s new series Feral
- UK availability: Streaming now on Disney+
This is the end of the first three-episode chapter of the final season, and everything comes to a head. On Chandrila, Mon Mothma has to smile her way through her daughter’s wedding while her rebel secrets close in on her, and it ends with a dance scene that people are still talking about. Far away, Cassian is stuck and the Empire is getting closer to the people he loves. It is tense, sad and beautifully made television.
Perfect if you liked Rogue One, The Crown or Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Read about Genevieve O’Reilly’s new Netflix series Feral and the cost of Star Wars: Starfighter. Our last Star Wars pick was The Force Awakens, and you can find your next one in our Star Wars watch guide.
Movieversalfilm Takeaway
Start with “Harvest” on Disney+, then turn the lights down for The Night House. If you are still up, BBC One’s Bodies Bodies Bodies at 11:10pm is the most fun you will have with a murder mystery this week.
