What to Watch Tonight UK · Tuesday 3 November 2026
Stephen Graham’s chilling serial killer in Nocturne leads tonight’s picks, with strong reviews on Apple TV. The animated steampunk Western Bass X Machina lands on Netflix today, Daniel Craig’s Queer is on BBC Two at 11.30pm, and Star Trek: The Next Generation is free on Sky Mix at 7pm.

On TV tonight
ON TV TONIGHT: Queer (2024) on BBC Two at 11.30pm
- Channel: BBC Two at 11.30pm, until 1.40am
- Runtime: 2 hours 17 minutes
- Age rating: 18

Daniel Craig has never been further from James Bond. Based on William S. Burroughs’s novel, Luca Guadagnino’s film follows William Lee, an American exile drifting through 1950s Mexico City, who falls hard for a younger man and drags him on a strange trip into the South American jungle. Craig is raw, funny and heartbreaking, and the film turns dreamlike in ways you will not forget. Late, but worth staying up for, or set the recorder.
Perfect if you liked Call Me by Your Name, Naked Lunch or Challengers.
STAR TREK CLASSIC: Star Trek: The Next Generation — “Attached” (1993) on Sky Mix at 7pm
- Channel: Sky Mix at 7pm, free on Freeview, until 8pm
- Episode: Season seven, episode eight
- Runtime: About 45 minutes, plus adverts
- Age rating: 12
- Directed by: Jonathan Frakes
- Starring: Patrick Stewart and Gates McFadden
- UK availability: On Sky Mix tonight. Every episode is also streaming on Paramount+
Picard and Dr Crusher are captured on a divided planet and fitted with implants that let each hear the other’s thoughts. Stuck together on the run, they finally have to deal with the feelings they have danced around for seven years. It is a small, warm episode, more about two people than a space battle, and Patrick Stewart and Gates McFadden make every look count.
Perfect if you liked “The Inner Light”, Before Sunrise or Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. A cosy warm-up before the late film. Our last Star Trek pick was “The Best of Both Worlds”; find your next episode in our Star Trek watch guide.

Newly added to stream
NEWLY ADDED: Nocturne (2026) on Apple TV
- Service: Apple TV
- Episodes: Ten-part series, which premiered on Friday 30 October

- Based on: The Sandman by Lars Kepler

Liev Schreiber plays Jonah Lynn, a retired homicide detective who moves to a small Pennsylvania town and is dragged back to find the last living victim of a serial killer. Stephen Graham is that killer, Jurek Walter, and even behind bars he is the most frightening thing in the show. Critics have compared him to Hannibal Lecter, and the cat-and-mouse tension makes it ideal for dark November nights.
Perfect if you liked The Silence of the Lambs, Mindhunter or Adolescence. Revisit our first look at the trailer; it was also on our list in Weekly Streaming Highlights, and the reviews are now in.

If Nocturne leaves you wanting more Stephen Graham, this is the one most people missed. He plays Andy, a head chef on the edge, during the busiest night of the year at a London restaurant, and the whole film is shot in one unbroken take. There are no explosions, just orders, mistakes and tempers, and by the end it is as gripping as any thriller.
Perfect if you liked The Bear, Adolescence or Uncut Gems. Plan more nights in with our UK Release Calendar.
Movieversalfilm Takeaway
Make it a Stephen Graham night: start Nocturne on Apple TV, then watch him run a kitchen in Boiling Point. Trekkies get Picard and Crusher on Sky Mix at 7pm, and night owls get Daniel Craig in Queer at 11.30pm.
