Trailer Drop · 17 October 2026
Netflix has released the official trailer for Bass X Machina, an adult animated series set in a lawless steampunk version of the Old West. Brian Tyree Henry voices Bass, with Janelle Monáe as Glory, and the six-episode limited series premieres on Netflix on Tuesday 3 November.
Synopsis
In a lawless steampunk West overrun by brutal outlaws, machines and supernatural terrors, a father is forced to become judge, jury and executioner, knowing that every act of justice meant to protect his family may ultimately cost him the very people he is fighting to save.
The series comes from creator LeSean Thomas, with Henry also serving as an executive producer, and is animated by Studio Mir, the South Korean studio behind several of Netflix’s biggest action animations. Monáe performs the theme song, “Honor Killing”, and her Wondaland collaborators Roman GianArthur and Nate Wonder provide the original music.
