Trailer Drop · Official UK Trailer · 30 October 2026
A grieving couple go looking for healing and find something far darker. Black Bear UK has released the official UK trailer for Pendulum, the psychological horror that marks the directing debut of Black Swan writer Mark Heyman, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Phoebe Dynevor as a married couple drawn into a desert retreat.
Surrender Completely
Patrick and Abigail travel to a new-age retreat in New Mexico, hoping to recover from a traumatic event. Patrick will do anything to help his wife, but he grows suspicious of the retreat’s enigmatic leader, played by Jacki Weaver, as Abigail falls under her spell. As paranoia builds, the couple must decide whether the group’s spiritual practices offer real healing or hide a terrifying truth.
Norman Reedus, Jena Malone and Anna Deavere Smith co-star, and Darren Aronofsky produces. The trailer leans into swinging pendulums, chanting and a creeping sense that nobody at the retreat can be trusted. In the US, Vertical opens the film in cinemas on 1 January 2027. Black Bear UK says it is coming soon to UK cinemas, but has not yet named a date.
