David Thewlis plays an older Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock & Daughter, and HBO Max UK & Ireland has released the official trailer. All eight episodes arrive weekly on HBO Max in the UK and Ireland from Thursday 5 November to Thursday 24 December 2026, after the series aired on The CW and HBO Max in the US.
Holmes Meets the Daughter He Never Knew
Set in 1896, after the events at Reichenbach Falls, the series finds Holmes facing a criminal conspiracy that puts his closest friends at risk. Blu Hunt plays Amelia Rojas, a young Native American woman who arrives in London to investigate her mother’s murder and is determined to prove that Holmes is her father.
Dougray Scott plays Professor Moriarty. Brendan Foley created and wrote the series, with James Duff (The Closer) as showrunner, and it was filmed in Dublin and London by Starlings Entertainment’s Albion Television and StoryFirst.
