A husband brings home a pregnant second wife, and something else follows her through the door. Dark Sky Films has released the official trailer for The Vile, Majid Al Ansari’s Arabic-language psychological horror, which opens in select US cinemas and on digital platforms on Friday 20 November 2026. UK date not yet confirmed.
A Second Wife, and Something Sinister
Bdoor Mohammad plays Amani, a devoted wife and mother whose family life is shattered when her husband returns with Zahra (Sarah Taibah), who is pregnant with his first son. Determined to stay in the home and protect her daughter Noor, Amani fights for her place as increasingly disturbing events take hold, and she becomes convinced that Zahra is hiding something sinister.
Al Ansari, who made Netflix’s Paranormal, directs from a script he wrote with Johnnie Alward. Producers include Roy Lee and Steven Schneider, with Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios behind the film. It won Best Horror Feature at Fantastic Fest and screened at Sitges, Busan and the BFI London Film Festival.
