This week’s Trailer Radar is led by the final trailer for Dune: Part Three, with Tony Gilroy’s Behemoth!, Netflix’s new Pride and Prejudice, season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Prime Video’s The Man with the Bag. Here are the five official trailers that mattered most between Tuesday 27 October and Tuesday 3 November, following last week’s Trailer Radar.

Viewer Match

  • Best for: Anyone who saw the first two films on the biggest screen they could find and has been counting down to the finale.
  • Maybe skip if: You have not seen Part One or Part Two yet; this trailer gives away a lot about where Paul and Chani now stand.
  • Trailer mood: Grand, mournful and increasingly strange, with the battles framed as tragedy rather than triumph.
  • Why it stands out: It is Warner Bros.’ last big pitch for the trilogy’s ending, and it puts Chani, not Paul, at the centre of the story.

Our Dune: Part Three Trailer Drop covered the set-up: nearly two decades after he seized the Imperium, Paul Atreides is a ruthless Emperor facing the cost of his reign. A week on, what stands out is how far Villeneuve has moved from the book. Dune Messiah is a quiet novel of plots and long conversations, but this trailer is built around war, and above all around Zendaya’s Chani, who walked away from Paul at the end of Part Two and now looks like his most dangerous opponent. Book readers have been arguing about that change all week, and Warner Bros. seems happy to let them. The timing matters too. Avengers: Doomsday opens in UK cinemas on Wednesday 16 December, just two days earlier, so this is the trailer that has to convince audiences to make room for both. On the evidence so far it is working: the Warner Bros. UK & Ireland upload alone has passed 2.8 million views, and Robert Pattinson has already called the finished film “unbelievable”, as our Evening News of 1 November reported.

Movieversalfilm radar note: Last week we said Warner Bros. had promised the final trailer; it has delivered the most confident and most unsettling footage of the whole campaign.

Behemoth! — Official Trailer

  • Official trailer/channel: Searchlight Pictures (uploaded Wednesday 28 October 2026)
  • Format: Music drama film; official trailer, 2 minutes 4 seconds
  • Release: In US cinemas from Friday 4 December 2026 (Searchlight Pictures)
  • Writer and director: Tony Gilroy
  • Principal cast: Pedro Pascal, Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor and Will Arnett, with Hank Azaria and JoBeth Williams
  • Where to watch in the UK: UK date not yet confirmed

Viewer Match

  • Best for: Fans of grown-up, character-led dramas, and anyone who loved the writing in Andor.
  • Maybe skip if: You are expecting a Star Wars-style thriller; this is a film about music and family.
  • Trailer mood: Warm, wry and a little mysterious, with the score doing as much work as the dialogue.
  • Why it stands out: Tony Gilroy’s first film as director since The Bourne Legacy, with Pedro Pascal in a rare quiet leading role.

When our Behemoth! Trailer Drop went up, Searchlight was saying very little about the story. The trailer itself says more than the marketing copy. Pascal plays Alex Serian, a gifted cellist who comes home to Los Angeles after 20 years on the road, and the trailer opens with him being asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement for a project with the code name “Behemoth”. From there it moves between rehearsal rooms, a mysterious singer whose tracks keep vanishing from the internet, and a painful reunion with his mother. The tone is the surprise. After Michael Clayton and two seasons of Andor, Gilroy has made something lighter on its feet, closer to a backstage comedy-drama than a thriller. The main Searchlight upload passed six million views in under a week, which is a strong showing for an original adult drama in awards season.

Movieversalfilm radar note: The most intriguing trailer of the week, because it hides its secret well; the only thing missing is a UK release date.

Pride and Prejudice — Official Trailer

AI artwork: a Regency country house glowing at sunset across misty parkland, with a handwritten letter and gloves on a stone balustrade
AI Artwork
  • Official trailer/channel: Netflix (uploaded Wednesday 28 October 2026)
  • Format: Six-part period romantic drama series; official trailer, 2 minutes 33 seconds
  • Release: All six episodes on Netflix from Thursday 3 December 2026
  • Writer and director: Written by Dolly Alderton from the novel by Jane Austen; directed by Euros Lyn
  • Principal cast: Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden, Olivia Colman, Rufus Sewell and Louis Partridge
  • Where to watch in the UK: Netflix, from Thursday 3 December 2026

Viewer Match

  • Best for: Austen readers who want the whole novel, not a two-hour squeeze, and fans of Dolly Alderton’s writing.
  • Maybe skip if: The 1995 BBC series is sacred to you and no new Darcy will ever do.
  • Trailer mood: Romantic, restrained and pastoral, more yearning than sparkle.
  • Why it stands out: It is the first major new screen version since the 2005 film, and its casting has already split the internet.

Our Pride and Prejudice Trailer Drop introduced the series. What the week since has shown is how strongly people feel about it. Netflix’s trailer passed 1.9 million views on its main channel, and the reaction has been loudly divided: some viewers love Jack Lowden’s Darcy and Olivia Colman’s Mrs Bennet, while others say Emma Corrin’s Elizabeth looks too sombre and the whole thing too chaste. That restraint looks deliberate. Euros Lyn, who directed Heartstopper, lets glances and hands do the work, and Alderton has said she wanted to stay faithful to Austen while using six hours to give more room to characters who are often trimmed, Mrs Bennet and Mary among them. Rufus Sewell as Mr Bennet and Louis Partridge as Wickham round out a very British cast.

Movieversalfilm radar note: Not the flashiest trailer of the week, but the one most likely to dominate conversation once December arrives.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 — Official Trailer

Image: Disney+
  • Official trailer/channel: Disney+ UK (uploaded Monday 2 November 2026)
  • Format: Fantasy adventure series, season 3 (eight episodes); official trailer, 2 minutes 51 seconds
  • Release: Two-episode premiere on Friday 20 November 2026, then two episodes weekly until Friday 11 December
  • Creators: Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg
  • Principal cast: Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Tamara Smart and Levi Chrisopulos, with Dafne Keen and Kate McKinnon
  • Where to watch in the UK: Disney+, from Friday 20 November 2026

Viewer Match

  • Best for: Families and long-time Riordan readers who have waited years to see The Titan’s Curse on screen.
  • Maybe skip if: You found the first two seasons too young; the tone is darker, but it is still a family show.
  • Trailer mood: Darker and more ominous than before, with a countdown-to-war feel.
  • Why it stands out: The series is now past the halfway point of the five books, and this is the season where the war between gods and Titans begins.

Our Percy Jackson Trailer Drop ran through the plot and the new gods. Watched again, the clearest change is in the look of the show. This is a much darker trailer than anything from the first two seasons, often literally, with night-time quests and dimly lit strongholds, and it ends with Zeus warning that “victory will require sacrifice”. Book fans will spot familiar set pieces, including the Hoover Dam and Talos, the giant bronze automaton in the Junkyard of the Gods. The schedule is generous for UK viewers too: all eight episodes arrive within four weeks, so the finale lands on 11 December, before the Christmas rush. For more of what is landing on UK streaming this month, see What Is Coming Next: November 2026.

Movieversalfilm radar note: The show is growing up with its audience, and this is the first trailer that feels as though real losses are coming.

The Man with the Bag — Official Trailer

The Man with the Bag poster: Arnold Schwarzenegger as Santa in a red coat beside Alan Ritchson, under the line Naughty meet Nice
Image: Amazon MGM Studios
  • Official trailer/channel: Amazon Prime Video UK & IE (uploaded Monday 2 November 2026)
  • Format: Christmas heist comedy film; official trailer, 2 minutes 33 seconds
  • Release: Global premiere on Prime Video on Wednesday 2 December 2026
  • Director: Adam Shankman, from a script by Allan Rice
  • Principal cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alan Ritchson, Awkwafina, Ken Jeong, Jane Krakowski and Liza Koshy
  • Where to watch in the UK: Prime Video, from Wednesday 2 December 2026

Viewer Match

  • Best for: Anyone who still puts Jingle All the Way on every Christmas.
  • Maybe skip if: You want your Christmas films gentle; this one is a broad action comedy.
  • Trailer mood: Loud, silly and festive, with the jokes landing on the odd-couple pairing.
  • Why it stands out: Schwarzenegger plays Santa himself, 30 years after his last Christmas comedy, and hires Reacher’s Alan Ritchson to pull off a heist.

The teaser, which we covered in our first Man with the Bag Trailer Drop, did little more than put Schwarzenegger in the red coat. This full trailer, also covered in our new Trailer Drop, finally shows the shape of the film. Ritchson’s thief is fresh out of prison and trying to reconnect with his daughter when a client called Kris turns out to be Santa, and the target is a luxury hotel where Awkwafina’s runaway elf is living it up with the stolen bag. It looks like it was genuinely shot on the streets of Manhattan rather than in front of a green screen, which gives it a slightly old-fashioned, 1990s family-comedy feel. It also lands in the busiest week of the streaming year, one day before Pride and Prejudice on Netflix, and it is one of the headline titles in our Christmas TV 2026 guide.

Movieversalfilm radar note: It will not win awards, but as a Christmas night-in pitch it is the most straightforward sell of the week.

Movieversalfilm Trailer of the Week

Dune: Part Three takes the verdict. Behemoth! is the week’s most intriguing surprise and Pride and Prejudice its most talked-about, but no other trailer had this much riding on it. With Avengers: Doomsday two days ahead of it in UK cinemas, Warner Bros. needed a final trailer that made the end of Villeneuve’s trilogy feel essential, and it chose to sell tragedy rather than spectacle, with Chani turning against the man she loved. Whether the film can carry that through is a question for 18 December, but as a closing argument it is the strongest trailer of the week.

Which of this week’s five trailers has earned the first place on your watchlist: Dune: Part Three, Behemoth!, Pride and Prejudice, Percy Jackson or The Man with the Bag? Tell us below.
