Trailer Drop · Season 2 Date Announcement · 3 November 2026
Mizu is going to London. Netflix has released a date announcement teaser for season 2 of Blue Eye Samurai, its Emmy-winning animated revenge saga, confirming that the show returns on Tuesday 19 January 2027. It streams on Netflix worldwide, including the UK.
Next Stop: London
The teaser’s message is short: “Three years ago, we met Mizu. Next stop: London.” Season 1 arrived in November 2023 and followed Mizu, a mixed-race sword master in Edo-period Japan, hunting the four white men she believes could be her father. It ended with her sailing for England in pursuit of her final target.
The series was created by Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, with Maya Erskine voicing Mizu. Its stylised, often brutal animation earned it Emmy recognition, and season 1 is streaming on Netflix now for anyone who wants to catch up before January.
Netflix has not yet released a full season 2 trailer or episode count. For more of what is heading to screens, see What Is Coming Next: November 2026.
