A grandfather who lives alone in a Central Java village finds his past catching up with him in Never Surrender, and Netflix has released the official trailer for its new Indonesian action film. Lukman Sardi stars as an ex-special forces soldier fighting off a criminal syndicate to protect the grandchildren he barely knows, and the film premieres on Netflix on 12 November.
Surrender or Fight Back
Netflix says the trouble starts when his two grandchildren unexpectedly arrive, and a ruthless gang from Jakarta follows them to his remote home. With the threat closing in, the family has two choices: surrender or fight back. Callista Arum, Sulthan Hamonangan, Derby Romero and Donny Alamsyah co-star.
Sidharta Tata directs and co-wrote the script with Khalid Kashogi, and the producers are Kimo Stamboel and Edwin Nazir. Netflix promises hard-hitting fight scenes alongside a story about three generations rebuilding trust.
