Trailer Drop · First Look · 26 October 2026
BINGE has released the first look at Wentworth: Halfway Home, the follow-up to the Australian prison drama that ran for eight seasons and built a huge following in the UK. Katrina Milosevic is back as Susan “Boomer” Jenkins, and this time she is on the outside. The series premieres on BINGE and Foxtel in Australia in late 2026. No UK broadcaster or date has been announced yet.

Getting Out Was Hard. Staying Out May Be Impossible
The two-minute teaser arrived five years to the day after Wentworth’s final episode aired on 26 October 2021. It opens with Boomer being walked out through the prison gates by a guard, close to tears, before she turns back with a typically rude parting message for the women she has left behind.
The story picks up with Boomer freshly paroled and moving into Sal’s Halfway House, determined to win custody of her daughter and build a life for them both. Then a body turns up, and she has to work out who she can trust in a house full of ex-cons.
She is not alone. Nicole da Silva returns as Franky Doyle and Kate Box as Lou Kelly, while Rachel Griffiths plays Moira, a glamorous new resident jailed for fraud. Sophie Lowe, Alex King and Chenile Chandler were already on board, and BINGE has now added nine more names, including Nadine Garner, Elaine Crombie, Daniel Henshall, Sara West and Heartbreak High’s Chika Ikogwe.
Fremantle Australia is making the series for BINGE, with Gracie Otto as set-up director and Jessica Paine leading the writers’ room, and filming is under way in Melbourne. Spin-offs are having a moment: Samuel L. Jackson is leading one for Tulsa King, as our Frisco King teaser post shows, and for today’s other TV news see the Morning News.
