Trailer Drop · Official Trailer · 5 November 2026
Sofia is a gifted surgeon, and an Oslo emergency room is the last place she wants to be. Netflix has released the official trailer for Always on Call (Legevakta), its first Nordic medical drama, starring Sara Khorami. All seven episodes arrive on Netflix worldwide, including the UK, on Thursday 26 November 2026.
Sent to the ER to Save Her Career
Khorami, who starred in Netflix’s Troll 2, plays Sofia, a surgeon with more talent than patience who is sent to the city’s busiest ER to rescue her career. There she meets chaos, short staffing, demanding patients and colleagues with messy private lives, and, Netflix promises, warmth, community and love.
Netflix says it is more love story and workplace drama than clinical procedural. It was filmed inside Oslo’s real former emergency department, which treated patients from 1900 until 2023. Thorbjørn Harr, Jan Gunnar Røise and Silje Storstein co-star.
Harald Rosenløw-Eeg and Jan Trygve Røyneland created and wrote it, with Stian Kristiansen and Liv Karin Dahlstrøm directing for production company Klynge. It is one of several Netflix dramas lining up for the end of the month, alongside Richard Madden’s thriller Trinity.
