Trailer Drop · Official Teaser · 31 October 2026
“My mom became a crater.” Hideo Kojima’s haunting game world is coming to the small screen as a hand-drawn anime series. Kojima Productions has released the first teaser for Death Stranding Isolations, which is due to stream exclusively on Disney+ in 2027.

A New Story in a Broken America
The series tells a brand-new story, separate from the games. It is set in North America just after Sam, the hero of Death Stranding, has reconnected the continent through the Chiral Network. At its centre is a young girl who was forced into total isolation by the Death Stranding and has come to prefer it. Chance encounters soon pull her into a world she does not recognise, alongside a wise old man, a soldier trapped in a cycle of war and an angry young boy.
Takayuki Sano directs, with animation by E&H production, the studio behind Ninja Kamui and Bullet/Bullet. Ilya Kuvshinov is the original character designer, and novelist Tow Ubukata (Mardock Scramble) has joined as series composition and screenplay writer. Kojima is executive producer. The 45-second teaser was unveiled on 30 October at Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary event in Tokyo.
