Trailer Drop · Official Trailer 2 · 4 November 2026
Red has a new job this Christmas: being a dad. Paramount Pictures has released the second trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3, and it comes with a brand-new song, “Sun Showers”, by BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. The film opens in UK and Irish cinemas on Wednesday 23 December 2026.
Fatherhood First, Then Saving the World
Paramount’s official line sums it up: this holiday season, one angry bird will face his greatest challenge yet, surviving fatherhood… while saving the world. Jason Sudeikis is back as Red and Josh Gad returns as Chuck, with Walker Scobell and Psalm West voicing his sons, Glider and Olly.
The cast is big. Emma Myers, Rachel Bloom, Danny McBride, Marcello Hernández, Tim Robinson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, Sam Richardson and James Austin Johnson all join in, along with Lily James and Keke Palmer. YouTube stars MrBeast and Salish Matter are in the cast as well.
John Rice directs from a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman, who directed The Angry Birds Movie 2. It is made in association with Rovio Entertainment and lands two days before Christmas, so it will go up against the rest of the festive line-up. That includes It’s a Wonderful Life back in 4K.
